NEMA gets medical equipment for Crooked Island clinic

The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, was pleased to accept an assortment of vital medical equipment from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., facilitated by the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), for the community clinic in Crooked Island which was severely damaged during the passage of Hurricane Joaquin in October 2015.

HURRICANE JOAQUIN: 46 airlifted to Nassau after plea from Commissioner, 'some time' before power will be restored in stricken areas

o 46 people evacuated from Pitts Town Point, Crooked Island, who were at Colonel Hill Airport, have been airlifted to Nassau after Police Commissioner Ellison Greenslade made a plea for help this afternoon.
